Amul to build world's largest curd plant in Howrah

Amul (GCMMF, through Kaira District Co-operative Milk Producers Union) is setting up what it bills as the world's largest curd manufacturing facility at Sankrail Food Park in Howrah, West Bengal, with the project featuring prominently in late-May 2026 coverage. The Rs 600-650 crore plant will process about 1.5 million litres of milk and produce 10 lakh kg of curd daily. It will be developed in two phases.
